Alfamedic was founded in August 1990. It was established as a new independent Czech business entity, with no foreign participation and no previous affiliation with other companies. The main program of the company is the development, production and sale of quality medical devices and equipment.
The company’s activity is focused on the following medical fields: neonatology, paediatrics, gynaecology, surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation.
The products that Alfamedic produces gradually form complete conceptual series. With the gradual expansion of the product range, the possibility of application in other fields of healthcare is increasing.

We are modernizing not only our technology, but also the presentation of the company. And so, in 2022, our brand was redesigned.
Heated bed for newborns and infants VL-22
The main product is a Heated bed (open incubator). In 2025, we launched a new product called VL-22, based on the original and well-known LN-91, which has been indelibly linked to our company’s name since its inception. The VL-22 features a modernized bed that retains its appearance and properties, enhanced with design innovations, functional elements, user features, and the latest technologies. We have drawn on thirty years of experience to create a product that not only meets standards and the latest trends, but also satisfies the most stringent and demanding customer requirements. It can be supplemented with state-of-the-art phototherapy, as well as other accessories, such as the HM-13 heated pad.
Quality for the whole world
The products are used in the healthcare sector on the Czech and foreign markets. The quality of the products is evidenced by the long-standing cooperation with a number of foreign partners. Currently, the export share accounts for about 65% of the total production.
In the field of neonatology, our heating systems occupy an irreplaceable position, whether it be heated beds, heated pads, or heating modules. Especially on the domestic scene, our MINI newborn beds or MINI2 beds for twins have become an indispensable part of maternity wards. These can be used in combination with the above-mentioned heating systems and phototherapy lamps. If you choose a bed with a heated mattress, the size is adapted to the bed. Our ALFANEST bed, which we also introduced in 2025, offers maximum comfort.
We also offer a wide range of water baths (from 5l to 50l) suitable for neonatology, as well as other medical fields and laboratories.
For the field of surgery, the company is the only one to provide a heated tray with temperature control certified as a medical device. The large pad is designed for operating rooms.
Phototherapy lamp FL-2010
In 2010 Alfamedic came to the market with a completely new device for the treatment of neonatal jaundice – phototherapy lamp FL-2010, equipped with modern LED technology, with high power, long life and patient monitoring.
